Escape to the mountains. Just 25 minutes from Mt. Rainier NP, 30 minutes to White Pass Ski area and surrounded by the best fishing, hiking, and adventures in the PNW. The property includes a cedar hot tub, WiFi, Full-Kitchen, bunkhouse, washer & dryer, record player, and more. We are 2.5 from Portland and Seattle. Originally built in 1962, the cabin was fully renovated four years ago including the addition of Millard's Bunkhouse and a beautiful cedar soaking hot tub. Meticulously maintained ever since, the cabin features a cozy and rustic feel with all the amenities of the 21st century. Within the main cabin, the loft area features three beds including a queen and two full beds, all with fresh linens. The two sides in are separated by a quarter wall surrounding the stairs. The loft does have steep, almost ladder-like stairs for access. Providing first-floor sleeping accommodations, we have put two additional beds in the bunkhouse, which is connected to the cabin by the back deck. In the bunkhouse, find a full mattress and one single on top. The bunkhouse also has a full washer and dryer. Our kitchen is fully prepared and ready for you to cook. Basic appliances, pots, pans, utensils, coffee pot, french press, and coffee filters. We also have many spices for your use and vegetable oil for cooking. In the living room find puzzles, games, and an entertainment set (Amazon Firestick) with Netflix, prime video, and more. Also, check out our records and record player for some music during your stay! Additionally, the soundbar below the tv is Bluetooth capability to connect to your device. The renovated bathroom provides you with a rain shower, new toilet, new vanity, and new tankless water heater. The bathroom comes with all the bathroom essentials including toilet paper, towels, and shampoo /body wash. We are dog-friendly for a $65 fee per pup. You must tell us if you are bringing your dog. Please ensure you clean up after your pets inside and out of the home. Enjoy a beautiful back yard featuring a cedar soaking hot tub, a bon fire pit, and BBQ grill. Turn the twinkle lights on and relax in the hot tub as the sun goes down or gather around a bon fire. You’ll love spending time back there! The home is heated and cooled by the newly installed split mini heat pump. (Not pictured) Please use this as your primary heat source. We also have a small electric fireplace for ambiance and heat. The bunkhouse is heated with a cadet wall heater but does not have AC for the summer. Additionally, for the summer months, there is a window AC unit in the loft and we provide multiple fans for comfort. We are on community water and septic. Fixing a septic clog is a minimum of $350 charge, so please remember to abide by the rules and only flush the toilet paper provided. By booking with us you waive all liability for personal injury and property loss. There are small hazards like steeper stairs and a ladder to the bunk in the bunkhouse which is why we caution against younger children. Please exercise caution. Injuries are no fun for anyone and we want you to do nothing but enjoy your stay! There are absolutely no parties allowed and guests will lose their deposit and be immediately charged for any damages to the home. Simply treat the cabin with respect and you’ll have a wonderful stay. Please check out the home rules and house manual. For the bunkhouse please note the handle lock is disabled and a swivel pin lock is used. Additionally, the door is very heavy and may feel locked when going to pull on it. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and woods, but yes there are neighbors! **guests have recently had issues with Skate Creek Road being very rough. Please exercise caution on the road or use alternate routes.” We do not offer refunds for last-minute cancellations due to weather or situations out of our control. You have access to the entire property. We are available by phone and the app at anytime. At the cabin there is contact information for us as well as support for any home emergencies as well. Other than that, we will happily stay away unless you need us. The neighborhood is a mix of part-timers, other rentals, and full-time residents. Remember to respect that and enjoy nature how it was meant to be. Packwood is just 4.5 miles away with everything you will need including restaurants, its own brewery, and grocery store. The home is located in one of the many HOAs in the area. There are full-time neighbors and a newly built vacation house to the right and a travel trailer to the left. Although a very quiet beautiful area in the cascades expect to hear cars passing by as there are many vacation homes in the area. We are just off a main road to allow for access in nearly all weather. However, during the winter months please drive with care as you are on back wood mountain roads. Hiking not your thing? Take a breath taking drive and find adventure all within driving distance of the cabin. Must be 25 to book. As noted in the house rules there is a camera fixed on the driveway. This is used to help our cleaning staff with check-in and check-out. The second camera is located on the fence and looks at the side of the house and backyard. Both cameras are deactivated for recording and are only used to check up on the house while no one is there. The bunkhouse handle lock is disabled and instead, there is a stainless steel pin lock to lock while staying inside. The kitchen lights are plugged in behind the coffee pot and are controlled by a black pad next to the sink. Living room lights switches are on the black cords coming from the lights.
